Many years ago, I was faced with these same questions of transparency. What makes me alive? Why do I get out of bed each day? Is it my family, my spouse, my kids, my job, having a good time with friends, what? What motivates you arise each day? What gives you fulfillment in life” What…is the question? Many years ago, I found myself drifting through life stuck in the gear of park! Thinking life was passing me by. I hadn’t experienced any of my dreams. I didn’t like the person I had become. I needed change! Are you experiencing being stuck in the gear of park? Many tell me the world’s a terrible place to live. Yes, I know we live in a fallen world and don't want to listen to the news, but that shouldn’t stop us from living life to its fullest. Yes, we have all experienced many heartbreaks in life, experienced abuse from loved ones or friends, but we can still live life to its fullest without regrets. When I read following scripture and understood what it meant, my live changed drastically. Jesus came to give life to those who felt hopelessly stuck in the gear of park. He came to heal the emotionally wounded soul. This scripture inspired me to allow the Word of God to transform my mind. I began to enjoy the little things in life. I started writing goals and planned those goals out with action steps to bring them to life. I learned our mind can cause us to enjoy life or to dread life. What we think in our mind, we bring it about in our actions, which controls our way of living. Healing begins with our mind. We have hope, and that hope comes from Jesus. He wants to help us by renewing our minds from the dread of negative thinking to that of hope. He wants us to live a victoriously, abundant in Him. Are you ready to begin your journey to healing? It begins one thought at a time. Using the truth of God's Word, we can destroy all the lies the enemy Satan has planted in our minds. Lies such as:
Whatever lies are roaming in your mind, God's Word can destroy it. Remember, the lies we think and believe are what we become. You are not those lies! Father God created you with great potential and purpose. You are "alive" in Christ Jesus! You awake each morning because of His great love and mercy for you, and all of His children. Jesus demonstrated His love for us by redeeming us on the Cross. Today, I challenge you to be intentional about changing your thoughts from negative thinking to that of having a Christ-like mindset. Invite Jesus to help you to change your thinking and to guard your mind with positive thoughts. We can begin with Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Changing your thoughts, changes your life! Are you living in doubt and uncertainty about God's love? Check out our workbook and guided journal: "40-Days Revealing God's Love" for both men and women.
