Written by Georgetta Head Photo by Sai DeSilva (unsplash) Has there ever been a time in your life that you suffered through disappointment and discouragement or are you feeling this way now? We learn from the Word of God of a nameless woman, known only as the wife of Manoah who knew many years of disappointment and discouragement. She lived during a time period in which women were considered cursed if they didn’t have children. Well, this was the case of the wife of Manoah. We aren’t told how many years she was childless. Holy Spirit only reveals – “that she was barren.” Let’s review the wife of Manoah’s story to discover how God resolved her disappointment and discouragement! God can make alive what we believe to be dead! God can save our children! God can change our disappointments and discouragement into joy and victory!
Judges 13:3 “And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.” Holy Spirit does not give us the name of Samson’s mother, He gently calls her the “wife of Manoah” (Judges 13:2). Like Sarah, the wife of Manoah was barren, but she knew God and God knew her heart. God knew that the wife of Manoah could be trusted to follow His instructions in raising the “next judge” for Israel. God sent an angel to tell the news to the wife of Manoah that He knew she was barren and that He was going to bless her with a child—a man child at that. Just imagine, being barren for so long, then to be told you will give birth to a child. The angel gives her instructions from God to remain pure during the pregnancy by not drinking strong drink and to stay away from unclean foods (Judges 13:4). The angel of the Lord continued by prophetically telling her the child’s future “For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines” (Judges 13:5). The wife of Manoah did conceive and gave birth to a son as the angel said, and she named him Samson. Just as the angel prophetically spoke, Samson was a special servant of the Lord, who was extremely strong physically and lead Israel for 20 years before his death. The wife of Manoah was not a socialite or a celebrity in her community, she was a woman who loved and worshipped the Lord. She was chosen by God to be the mother of an extraordinary leader because of her love and commitment to God. God is still choosing woman of today! There are mothers who are not in the limelight, but raise their children the way God instructs them. Do you have a heart for the things of God! Can God trust you to be obedient when asked by Him to raise your children with godly principles? A mother’s job can be difficult at times, especially in today’s culture, but if mothers remain faithful and “train up their children the way to go, and they will not depart,” God will be there every step of the way to help them. One day, your children will rise up and call you blessed. My friends, trust God to do something extraordinary in your life, the rewards are great when living our lives God’s way and not the way of the world! Journey With The Word

Written by Georgetta Head Photo by Kat (unsplash) “And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath….Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, behold thou are made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” (John 5:5-9; 14)
Have you ever heard about a remedy that can help you medically or spiritually, but made excuses as to why it won’t help your condition? Well, this is what John 5:5-9 is about! It’s about a man wounded with hopelessness and all he had left in him were “excuses.” We learn from these scriptures that a man with an infirmity of 38 years was laying by a certain pool. When Jesus saw this man, He asked him an unusual question? “Wilt thou be made whole?” In other words, “Do you want to be healed?” The impotent man immediately came up with excuses as to why he couldn’t be made whole (healed). Jesus responded to the impotent man saying “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk,” immediately the man was made whole (healed). Jesus knew the condition of the man’s soul, and that his excuses were from many years of hurt, disappointment and rejection. Many will read these scriptures and criticize the impotent man, for making excuses, but how many of us do the same thing “make excuses when we can be made whole?” We too experience hurts in our lives that cause us to make excuses because it’s very easy to make excuses when we operate from the “spirit of fear, doubt or hopelessness!” Let’s take a moment to examine the impotent man’s life and attitude!
Jesus looked into the man’s heart and saw his spirit of hopelessness and rejection! This man’s physical infirmity wasn’t the problem, it was his spiritual infirmity that was the problem. Jesus was this man's “Hope!” Jesus healed the man’s physical need, but then we read in verse 14 that Jesus found the man in the temple. Jesus was now about to address the man’s need for spiritual healing. He tells the man “behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” We are not told what the sin was, but we now know that it was sin that caused the physical infirmity. What is more interesting in verse 14 is that Jesus found the man in the temple! Was he there to offer a sacrifice for his sin? Was he there to worship God and to thank Him for his healing? We are not told the reason for the man being in the temple; but we can be sure of one thing - Jesus offered the man spiritual healing! A person with a wounded soul left in an unhealthy condition is more serious than a physical infirmity. Matthew 18:8 states “Wherefore if thy hand or foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” A wounded soul leads to sin if not healed, and continued unrepented sin leads to eternal damnation. What condition is your soul? Are you making excuses for why your soul isn’t healed? I did! When Holy Spirit convicted me of certain character flaws in my heart, I made excuses. Each time He told me to surrender those character flaws, I would say, “that’s not me, you have me mixed up with someone else.” Can you imagine telling that to Holy Spirit! I denied the fact that I had a wounded soul for six months until finally Holy Spirit showed me experientially my faults. Whatever you are wrestling with in your soul, ask Holy Spirit for help and surrender that hurt for healing, don’t delay. Excuses keeps up bound in our hurts! Friends, Father God is more interested in our soul being healed than our physically healing, because the issues of our life, flow from our hearts. In your journal:

Journey With The King YouTube Channel Facebook Group Written By Georgetta Head Photo By Microsoft free art Millions and millions of dollars are spent yearly with men and women purchasing over the counter cosmetics and seeking plastic surgery for an outward transformation of their bodies. They are seeking a new look and a better body! These individuals suffer from a poor self-image believing cosmetics or surgery will make them into a new person.
However, we learn from God’s Word, for a true transformation it is our hearts that needs restored and our minds need renewed. Proverbs 23:7 shares with us that “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he:” What we read here is that our thoughts influence our hearts. In other words, where the mind goes, the heart soon follows. In one of our group “alive” Community sessions, a participant shared she didn’t like her looks and was thinking of cosmetic surgery. She said, “I tried all those miracle creams but they didn’t work, so my only option is surgery.” Her thoughts generated a poor image of herself and her heart believed the lie. I showed her in the Bible the way God sees her – beautiful. First Peter 3:4 tells us that beauty is the “hidden person of the heart, with a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.” Also, in 1 Samuel 16:7 God says “don’t look at man’s appearance….for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” True transformation is an inward process, it’s the healing of a wounded soul. This woman already had wonderful spirit (heart), loving to help others and being the first the first to volunteer. But, as we continued with our group session, she shared that she was verbally abused growing up. This verbal abuse left her believing she could never fit-in with others because she wasn’t beautiful and was a failure. God created something beautiful in each of us. We discover our beauty when we surrender our brokenness to God allowing Him to renew our minds in His word. Don’t you want to know your unique purpose in life? Friends, God has a great future for us, so we need stop allowing our negative thoughts to influence our hearts! The participant in our “alive” Community session, chose to forego surgery. She chose to believe in God’s word for healing of our wounded soul. She has learned to love herself and embrace the beautiful person God created her to be. As my participant did, we need to stop giving the enemy (satan) illegal residence in our minds. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are loved greatly by Father God and He offers forgiveness to all who will accept His gift of salvation. The choice is ours to make, God will not force anyone who doesn’t want to live a life of victory and abundance. Choose life my friends! The rewards and benefits are awesome! I had a group lifestyle coaching session awhile back when a client state, “I don’t believe God could ever love me because I keep repeating the same sins.” She confessed her sins were the character flaws of gossiping and being judgmental toward others. She stated that when her character flaws were brought to her attention by others, she would ask God for forgiveness. But, she found herself repeating the same cycle over and over again. She was feeling guilty because she had asked God to forgive her, but she didn’t know how to stop sinning. She didn’t know how to break the cycle! What has occurred with this client is not uncommon! Romans 3:23 tells us: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We all will miss the mark until we know the truth, which will set us free. Everyone comes to God the same way, broken from their past. My client was producing "bad fruit" from wounds of her past and needed to learn how to be set free from her old ways and bad habits. When we sin, Psalms 51:3-4 tells us, we are sinning against God, our Creator. That is why my client was feeling the conviction in her spirit and sought help to get rid of the guilt. With our lifestyle coaching program, we identified the root cause of her bad fruit. She surrendered it to Father God and she no longer engages in gossip and has stopped judging others. She stated, "I am finally free from hurting others with my mouth, and I truly know now I am forgiven!" She is currently rebuilding relationships by asking those whom she hurt for forgiveness. My client now understands Romans 8:1 and doesn't live a life of guilt believing God doesn't love her. She now knows in her mind and heart God does loves her! While that thought is correct, there is another "killer" that is just as deadly, this is an enemy that target’s anyone regardless of age, race or culture. This “killer” is called depression. This is an enemy that kills your quality of life by:
I know all this to be true because I suffered many years from depression. My depression began when I was about 14 years old. It started with negative thinking about myself, which was generated from verbal abuse from peers and family members. It wasn't until my 30's when I learned if we don't deal with our thoughts, we sink deeper and deeper into what I call a "dark tunnel." The longer I stayed in that dark tunnel, depression crept in unawares, and it became difficult to shake off. Through the word of God, I learned when I change my thought life, it will change my life. I had to renew my old mindset to a new mindset. My negative thinking was keeping me a prisoner in my mind. The Lord, took me through seven Biblical principles that was life changing. These principles taught me how to live a victorious and abundant life in Christ. Does this mean I will never Hanover another trial or adversary. No! It means I learned how to handle tough situations with a Christ-like mindset. Those negative thoughts no longer had control of my mind and life. My life was renewed and I learned the importance of living my dreams instead of just dreaming about them. We were created by God to enjoy the life He had blessed us with. Journey With The King Written by: Rev. Georgetta Head Photo by: Anthony Tran (unsplash) How are our enjoying your life? What makes you feel “alive” every morning? Is your life one of fulfillment or dread? Many years ago, I was faced with these same questions of transparency. What makes me alive? Why do I get out of bed each day? Is it my family, my spouse, my kids, my job, having a good time with friends, what? What motivates you arise each day? What gives you fulfillment in life” What…is the question? Many years ago, I found myself drifting through life stuck in the gear of park! Thinking life was passing me by. I hadn’t experienced any of my dreams. I didn’t like the person I had become. I needed change! Are you experiencing being stuck in the gear of park? Many tell me the world’s a terrible place to live. Yes, I know we live in a fallen world and don't want to listen to the news, but that shouldn’t stop us from living life to its fullest. Yes, we have all experienced many heartbreaks in life, experienced abuse from loved ones or friends, but we can still live life to its fullest without regrets. When I read following scripture and understood what it meant, my live changed drastically. Jesus came to give life to those who felt hopelessly stuck in the gear of park. He came to heal the emotionally wounded soul. This scripture inspired me to allow the Word of God to transform my mind. I began to enjoy the little things in life. I started writing goals and planned those goals out with action steps to bring them to life. I learned our mind can cause us to enjoy life or to dread life. What we think in our mind, we bring it about in our actions, which controls our way of living. Healing begins with our mind. We have hope, and that hope comes from Jesus. He wants to help us by renewing our minds from the dread of negative thinking to that of hope. He wants us to live a victoriously, abundant in Him. Are you ready to begin your journey to healing? It begins one thought at a time. Using the truth of God's Word, we can destroy all the lies the enemy Satan has planted in our minds. Lies such as:
Whatever lies are roaming in your mind, God's Word can destroy it. Remember, the lies we think and believe are what we become. You are not those lies! Father God created you with great potential and purpose. You are "alive" in Christ Jesus! You awake each morning because of His great love and mercy for you, and all of His children. Jesus demonstrated His love for us by redeeming us on the Cross. Today, I challenge you to be intentional about changing your thoughts from negative thinking to that of having a Christ-like mindset. Invite Jesus to help you to change your thinking and to guard your mind with positive thoughts. We can begin with Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Changing your thoughts, changes your life! Are you living in doubt and uncertainty about God's love? Check out our workbook and guided journal: "40-Days Revealing God's Love" for both men and women.
Photo by: Gift Habeshaw (unsplash) Written by Georgetta Head Do you have difficulty making decisions? This is an action that is very difficult for many to make! I can relate because it is very challenging! I've been there many times until I learned key principles from the Bible that taught me how to control my emotions when making decisions.
As a single parent years ago, I learned the devastation of bad choices with my finances. Not seeking Father God first caused me several years of unwanted credit card debt. Plus, I learned experientially, our decisions, good or bad, have consequences! Decision-making has to do with a gift God gives to each of us called "free-will" or "volition." This is the ability to think and act with maturity and wisdom for ourselves and when necessary for our immediate family. Making decisions can be difficult at times because our emotions get involved, which influences us in the direction to take. Because our emotions tend to be fickle, one day we are happy, the next day sad or angry. When our emotions are on an up and down spiral, it would be wise not to make any decisions. Instead, we should table any decision-making until we can manage our emotional ups and downs. Tips for wise decision-making is found in two powerful verses. Proverbs 16:3 "Commit thy works unto the LORD, And thy thoughts shall be established." Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. • The wisest decision one can make when making deisions is to seek God's advice first. • Don't allow negative thinking to influence your decision-making. With negative thinking, we will produce emotions that will produce negative actions. • Finally, don't allow anxiety to pressure you into making decisions you will regret. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." When we put our trust in Father God and wait on Him, He will direct our steps for good. Most importantly, His peace will guard our hearts and minds, which will guide us with prosperous choices. Journey With The King Picture by: Artem Beliaikin (unsplash) Written by Georgetta Head But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
During my coaching career, I’ve had many people tell me that they didn’t think God would love them because of the sins they have committed. Armed with this untruth in their minds, they drifted into a life of shame and guilt. Romans 5:8 reveals a different story. Let’s study this scripture for the truth. The word “commendeth” in this verse is an interesting word that means: to commit; entrust; make acceptable; proves; or demonstrates. Using the definition of “proves” for “commendeth,” the phrase now reads: “But God proves His love toward us…” Have you ever been in a position in which you had to prove your love or actions to someone? Well, this is exactly what Father God did for us. He loving His creation, He proved it to us by sending His only Son, Jesus, to die for us while we were still sinners! Now that’s love! Would you prove your love for someone by dying for them? To what extent will you go to prove your love? God didn’t wait for us to be rid of our sins! He knew we would never be able to resolve our sin problem. So, He proves His love toward us with the answer for our sin problem, Jesus! While we were deep in our sins, He died on a cross taking all our sins on Himself, becoming our scape goat, forgiving us for every sin we ever committed. Jesus became our “propitiation” for the sins of the world (Hebrews 2:17). Thank God for the finished work of what Jesus did on the Cross, otherwise all would be eternally loss. So, now I ask, “what sin will God not forgive anyone for?” God says we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But, friends, please know that all who come to God for salvation through Jesus, are freely justified by God’s “grace” (unmerited favor) through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. The next time you or anyone you know, begin to believe God can never forgive any sin committed, know that is satan lying to you and doesn’t want you to know the truth of God’s “grace.” Remember, you are “greatly loved.” Journey With The King Join our YouTube Channel - Join our Facebook Group Written by Georgetta Head Photo by Aaron Burden (unsplash) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
Father God gives us a beautiful reminder through this scripture that no matter what we go through in life He is always with us. I learned this to be true a year ago when faced with a serious medical problem. After hearing the bad news, fear set in; then thoughts of dying were next. When I was just about to cross the threshold of my front door to go to the hospital, I heard a “still small” voice saying, “will you trust me!” That was Father God comforting me and letting me know He will be with me through this difficult time. I am here today writing this devotion to encourage anyone going through a medical problem, financial problem, problems with your children, or any tough situation to know that Father God is right there with you. Trust Him to gently guide and direct your steps with the answer for your problems or for the healing you need. Father God is not a partial God, what He did for others He will do for you. Don’t look at your circumstances, look to God, He has what we need, HOPE and GUIDANCE! Facts:
Journey With the King Join our YouTube Channel Join our Facebook Group Written by Charles Head Photo by Ben White (unsplash) I thank God continually that He is rich in mercy and for giving me many second chances. Why? Because, as I go through this journey in this world, it’s very easy to forget who sustains me along the way. We all have faults, make bad decisions, do things that cause people to be offended or become offended ourselves. The thing that we must keep in mnid is the fact that we all came from Adam (Genesis 1-3). Adam was created with a free will to make his own decisions as the first man on earth. As a result of his bad decisions, we all became a part of his sinful nature along with faults. My statement does not mean it’s one of a judgmental state, nor does it justify sin, it’s only to point out the fact that we are all born in sin because of the fall and disobedience of Adam, and the fault came along as a package deal. We all have a lot to be thankful for, the fact that Jesus came to our rescue and took our place in order to keep us from eternal damnation (separated from God in hell forever). These facts should cause us to walk humbly with our attitude on low volume, judgmental spirits, self-righteous actions toward each other. We all carry the label “born with faults and sins.” Romans 3:22-12 tells that: “even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” There have been ministers of Christ who have, with faults, fail in the pulpit many years ago, repented and been restored with God’s anointing, yet some say “I will not hear them preach anymore.” We must be very careful lest we walk in unforgiveness. If God has forgiven them and restored them, who are we to hold it over their head? We might as well shut our Bibles and not read about Abraham, David, Paul, or Peter, along with others who sinned and had faults. The justification and restoration of one who has failed is up to God and is a heart matter from each individual. God examines our heart and what’s in our heart we can’t hide from Him. God is the righteous judge (Psalm 139:1-24). We all need our spiritual heart checkup by God and leave the rest to God, faults and all. I love the song written by Dottie Rambo titled: “He Looked Beyond My Faults” read some of the lyrics below: Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise For it was Grace that brought my liberty I’ll never know just why He came to love me so He looked beyond my faults and saw all my needs I shall forever lift my eyes to calvary To view the Cross where Jesus died for me And how marvelous the Grace that caught my falling soul He looked beyond my faults and saw all needs This song tells all our story about “faults” because “God loves us so much that He looks past what we have done and forgives us when we come with a sincere heart.”

(Ephesians 3:14-19 KJV)
The scriptures above were written by Apostle Paul. It was his prayer that all Believers would comprehend the understanding of the great “love” God has for them. He knew the love of God and wanted other Believers to be empowered in their hearts and minds with this great love, just as he was the recipient of this love. The words: to comprehend the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge; says it all. Paul is saying God’s love is immeasurable. We can’t put a price tag on His love and we can’t measure it! These scriptures inform us that God’s love is not depended upon His feelings, He loves us unconditionally. God doesn’t ask us to perform for His love, it is a gift given freely. Fact:
By faith, as we allow these four facts to dwell within our hearts and minds, then we will learn to love ourselves and others as God loves us. Remember God doesn’t allow His feelings or performance on our part to decide whether He will love us, He loves us because He is LOVE; God is the Author of LOVE. A love that delights in being in relationship with each of His children. A love that protects and provides for His children. A love that does no harm to His children. A love that never dies! The world's definition of love is totally different than God's free gift of love. The world loves according to feelings and performance. The world's love is conditional. Which will you choose, the worlds love or God's love? Friends, by faith allow God’s love to heal you areas that cause you to doubt His love. Once healed you will learn to love self and others. God’s kingdom is love, so let us learn to live a lifestyle of love with self and others, for LOVE is the greatest Gift. “Journey With The King” Photo by: Aaron Burden (unsplash) I am my neighbor’s Bible

Our minds process our emotions, feelings, past hurts, offences, and pain. That's why God says in Romans 12:2 our minds need renewed; and in 2 Corinthians 10:5-7 we are to cast down all thoughts and imaginations that exalts itself above God.
So, what does it mean to renew our minds and to cast down all negative thinking? It means we are to see and understand life and this world through the eyes of God's Word. The Word of God is alive and active and has the power to transform our minds and to restore our wounded souls. The Word of God also has the power to inspire individuals to change their way of negative thinking by understanding the truth of God's Word; and seeing the world and life as it really is - a FALLEN STATE. A state in which people hurt one another. Allowing God's Word to transform us, we learn that love and forgiveness is the cure for our lives when we have been offended or hurt. Journey With The King YouTube - Facebook Group - Website Written by Georgetta Head Photo by Sai-de-Silva (unsplash) Fighting for approval and love can leave one hurt and disappointed time and time again. And, that is what happened to Leah, she was fighting for acceptance and love from her husband Jacob. Leah was the oldest daughter of Laban and sister to Rachel, and as we just read she was married to Jacob.
The Bible tells us, in Genesis 29:16-32, that Rachel was beautiful to look upon and well favored, and Leah was tender eyed. Jacob fell in love with Rachel and requested her in marriage, saying to Laban, her father, he would work for him seven years to marry Rachel. On the wedding night, Laban tricked Jacob and had Leah wear a wedding veil to cover her face, and sent her into Jacob pretending she was Rachel. The next morning when Jacob discovered the trickery, he was horrified. He had to work another seven years for Rachel. The Bible tells us that Leah was hated (v. 31). From what we read in scripture Leah and Rachel had constant tension and disagreements over who would have Jacob’s attention. And, as you probably guessed, Rachel was the beloved and received Jacob’s acceptance and love. Can you imagine being in a relationship without love and never having the validation of acceptance? Are you looking for someone to love you? Well, that was Leah’s life. Void of love and acceptance! In Verses 31 & 32 we read “And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren. 32And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.” God looked upon Leah’s affliction and blessed Leah with a family - four sons eventually. But, Rachel remained childless. God saw how unloved and unaccepted she was, so He comforted her. Leah accepts God’s love as a positive force in her life and so can we. God wants to heal the brokenhearted and those with a downcast spirit. If you are looking for love and acceptance, stop looking for man’s approval and acceptance, receive the unconditional love God has to offer. He tells us in Psalm 27:10 “when my mother and father forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” Through God’s constant and eternal love we can find the strength to survive our lowest moments. Too often we look for love in people and things or bad habits, but people and things or bad habits can never satisfy our longing for happiness. Our happiness can never be found in others—our true happiness comes from Father God only! Through Leah, Father God wants us to know that His love never dies for us and when we reach out to him, He will never forsake us. He will comfort us and give us the love, assurance, and comfort we need. Embrace Him today, allow Him to fill the longing in your soul. Allow Him to comfort you with His presence, joy and peace. “Sing Praises Unto The King” Join our YouTube Channel Join our Facebook Group Photo by: Artem Beliaikn Written by: Georgetta Head "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)
Does God love me is a question many ponder in their hearts. I too pondered this question in my heart years ago. I was saved for 11 years before I believed and trusted in my heart that God loved me. Because of this question there are many who will not make the decision to be saved. Plus, there many in the Body of Christ struggling in their relationship with Father God, not understanding God's love for them. "Does God love me!" YES! God loves everyone, whether saved or unsaved. This is a good question, because the person asking it, really wants God's love. The reason most have problems believing God loves them is due to sin in their lives and they are walking in condemnation. Or, something tragic happened in their life and they blame God for their pain. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation is a "love story" of God’s love for mankind. But unfortunately, there is a demonic enemy, named Satan, who walks among us. He is very good at causing evil in our lives so that we blame God, which causes us to doubt God's love. John 3:16-17 is the greatest example and demonstration of God's love for mankind. The question we need to ask is "why did God have to sacrifice His only Son for the world?" The answer: The Fall: sin entered the world by one man - Adam. He sinned by disobeying God's commandment to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam's sin brought death and separation from God. God not taken by surprise, announced His plan in Genesis 3:15 to redeem mankind back to Him. His plan - to send His only begotten Son to die for the sins of mankind. God's Rescue Plan: From Genesis chapter 12 to 25 we read beautiful stories of God unveiling His plan of redemption through a man named Abraham. This is love! God established a covenant with Himself to make Abraham a father of many nations, Jews and Gentiles. This is love! God through, the nation of Israel, setup a sacrificial system revealing a picturesque view and symbolic demonstration of the coming Savior who would shed His blood for the world (John 3:16). This is love! By sending His only begotten Son to die for the world, this was a great demonstrate of love to a lost and dying world held in bondage by satan Does God love us! Yes! We Were Chosen: Ephesians 1:4-5 says "we were chosen by God and adopted as His children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will." This means God knew before we were formed in our mother's womb the condition of our hearts, and that we would believe John 3:16-17 and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Our Father: Romans 7:15 and Galatians 4:6 reads that we are God's children and we are to call Him Father. As our Father, God reveals to us that He has committed to perform the "Father role" in our lives through provision, protection, love and relationship. Relationship: in a relationship we want to know everything about that person. Father God knows each of us personally. Psalm 139 reads that Father God knew us before we were formed. The very hairs of our head are numbered and written in a book. He watched over us in our mother's womb. He is present in our lives wherever we go. Unconditional Love: God's love is everlasting. There is no sin God will not forgive. God tells us He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our names are written on the palms of God's hands. Now that's love! Friends, God is not a distance, mean angry God with His children! Yes, there are consequences for our wrongful actions, but they are designed to help us to mature in our walk with the LORD. God is not a man that He would lie, when He forgives our sins, they are separated from Him as far as the east is from the west and buried into the depths of the sea. If God doesn't remember our sins, why are you. Only satan brings our past sins to remembrance because he wants us to doubt God's grace of forgiveness. Friends, God laid down His life for us (Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren 1 John 3:16 KJV). Friends, Jesus didn't come to earth to condemn the world. No! He came to make a way for mankind to be set free from the bondage satan had on mankind. If God had wanted to punish people He would have immediately killed Adam and Eve, whereby none of us would be here today. Instead, His LOVE for us compelled Him to rescue us through His death on the Cross. Jesus' death and resurrection offers all that accept Him into their heart eternal life. Today I encourage you to rebuke the lying spirit of satan and chose to believe TRUTH - you are LOVED. Eternal lie is far better than eternal damnation.
